In the spirit of Ut Prosim, Virginia Tech’s Environmental Health and Safety group held several events to raise money for the Commonwealth of Virginia Campaign, with proceeds benefitting local charities.

One hundred percent of the EHS department participated in a Chili Cookoff and Cornhole Tournament in October, followed by a Thankfulness Potluck in November, and a Festive Potluck / “Feed the Piggy” contest in December where divisions within the office competed to collect pocket change.

EHS raised a total of $929 toward the Commonwealth of Virginia Campaign, with the monies raised going to the Montgomery County Christmas Store and Multiple Sclerosis, Can Do!

Planning is already underway for next year’s campaign.
